Common Questions

Are permits required and included with the estimate?

Depending on your town or city, there may be a permit requirement applicable. PHI3 Construction will take care of the cost and help you acquire the permit for your concrete work, unless agreed otherwise.

How long does it take to get a permit?

The duration to get a permit can range from the same day up to 10 business days, depending on your municipality.

What is required from the homeowner to get a permit?

A copy of your plat of survey is required from the homeowner to get a permit. If you don’t have one readily available, we can help guide you on how to obtain it.

What type of concrete is used?

The standard concrete used for residential and commercial projects is a 6-bag 4,000 PSI mix, unless something else is specified. Gravel and wire mesh may be used depending on the project requirements for additional strength and stability.

How long does it take to complete a project?

Once the permit is received, most projects can be completed within 1–3 days, depending on the size and scope of the work. Larger or more complex projects may require additional time, which we’ll discuss with you upfront.
